Boulettes Larder is a well-stocked pantry that makes great cooking easier. A broad selection of ingredients takes the hard steps out of cooking and embellishes everyday dishes. The open kitchen evokes an era when seasonal country cuisine defined the hub of life. Chef/Owners Amaryll Schwertner and Lori Regis have been active locally for many years in what has become the greenmarket movement nationally. At Boulette's Larder they bring the restaurant concept of mise en place—kitchen preparations done in advance to support a chef—to home cooks.

The shop is a friendly, edible gallery of carefully selected ingredients and meal components. There are hard-to-find spices and herbs, bouquet garnis, freshly milled grains, and preserved fruits and vegetables from top Bay Area organic farmers. A wide variety of stocks, doughs and prepped organic vegetables save time in the kitchen. There is a changing selection of cooked items to take home. After hours, the shop becomes a private dining room for cooking seminars and catered dinners for ten—complete with a view of the Bay Bridge.
