Created by Daniel Patterson (chef/owner of Coi) and Lauren Kiino (chef/owner of soon-to-open Bracina), Cane Rosso is a casual, quick-serve rotisserie and sandwich shop inspired by the small, family-run food stores that have fed Southern Italy for generations. Douglas Borkowski (an alum of Delfina and Google) is the chef of Cane Rosso. The shop is open for lunch and early dinner every day. Additionally, it is open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. The heart of the kitchen is the rotisserie, on which whole chickens, pork, and other meats are roasted. Il Cane Rosso also serves a rotating selection of sandwiches and antipasti. Morning offerings change frequently as well, but may include Andante Dairy yogurt and blackberries, or a fried egg sandwich with pancetta, spring onion butter, and mozzarella. Il Cane Rosso is now offering a three-course meal every night from 5 to 8 PM. |
